June 14, 2011 I'm back! Did you miss me! What's holding me Back?

Hello!  I just had to write today!  I was so inspired again by what Ruth said in her blog yesterday and what another blogger said.  There are so many things in our lives happening but we do have priorities and we manage to always do what is most important to us.

Writing is one of those things.  I knew something was missing.  I loved writing in March and April but when May came, I just fell apart.  No excuses!

Sure I have aging parents, school was coming to an end, I had standards to meet and lessons to prepare but the enjoyment of writing could have eased the stress and helped me to cope. Isn't that the way it is?

Sometimes, we have to go through things and situations in our lives to really understand what we are missing.  I appreciate all the people who blog and are willing to write down how they feel.  It puts them out there. Sometimes at the risk of being shot down but in the end, the community embraces who you are and identifies with you!

I can't tell you how much I appreciated the people who commented on my blogs in March and April, well just anytime that I wrote.  Thank you for that.

I will commit myself to the challenge of writing more and commenting more because I know that it is needed and that it is worthwhile for myself as it is for others.  I have encouraged my students to stop by this summer and make comments and I will even let them be guests on my blog if they email me.  I look forward to a wonderful summer.  Happy blogging! ;o)

  1. It was fun to read all your posts in March, so glad you're back! I guess we just get into the rhythm of 'not' doing, so it's hard to return. It's great that you encouraged your students to stop in & even write & will be interesting to see if they show up. I have a friend who tells me she just never has time to read, & I say I never have time to sew. It's like your first paragraph, we always manage to do what's most important to us. Good thought!

  5. It's amazing how busy life can be and how we put our joys on the back burner. I'm glad that you are back. I love the idea of having your students as guest bloggers. How fun!
